Sonsbeek, nestled within the sprawling Sonsbeek Park in Arnhem, Netherlands, is a unique open-air theatre and event space with a rich history dating back to 1960. Originally designed as a summer stage, its striking concrete architecture – a layered, bowl-shaped structure – blends seamlessly into the natural landscape. Built on the foundations of a former sand quarry, the venue offers exceptional acoustics and a capacity of around 3,500.

Sonsbeek isn’t solely a music venue; it hosts theatre, dance, and other performances. However, it’s particularly renowned for its diverse music programming encompassing pop, rock, jazz, world music and occasionally classical concerts. Throughout the years it has hosted internationally acclaimed artists alongside emerging Dutch talent.
