Experience Salle Ravel
Salle Ravel, located in Levallois-Perret just outside Paris, is a renowned concert hall steeped in history. Originally built in 1928 as the Cinema Ravel, it was a popular Art Deco movie palace showcasing films throughout the mid-20th century. Transformed into a dedicated music venue in 1980, it quickly became a cornerstone of the Parisian music scene.
The architecture retains much of its original Art Deco charm, featuring elegant ornamentation and a relatively intimate setting with a capacity of around 700 standing or 550 seated. Salle Ravel is particularly celebrated for its excellent acoustics – highly valued by musicians and audiences alike.
It primarily hosts diverse contemporary music genres including jazz, world music, rock, chanson française, and electronic acts, often showcasing emerging artists alongside established names. The venue has hosted performances by artists like Carla Bruni, Youssou N’Dour and numerous French contemporary musicians. Unlike larger Parisian halls, Salle Ravel offers a more personal and vibrant atmosphere fostering close connection between performers and their audience, making it a significant cultural hub within the Hauts-de-Seine department.
