Experience Rockefeller Oslo
Rockefeller Music Hall, located in Oslo, Norway, opened in 1990 as part of the Rockefeller Hotel complex and quickly became a cornerstone of the city’s live music scene. Designed by architects Niels Torp, the venue boasts a distinctive industrial-chic aesthetic with exposed concrete and steel, contrasting with its central location.
Originally intended to fill a gap for mid-sized rock and pop concerts, Rockefeller has hosted an incredibly diverse range of international and Norwegian artists across genres including rock, pop, indie, electronica, and metal. It’s known for its excellent acoustics and relatively intimate atmosphere despite holding up to 1600 standing or 1000 seated guests.
Beyond concerts, Rockefeller frequently hosts club nights and album release parties. A unique feature is the adjoining "Parkteatret," a smaller venue within the same building offering a more intimate setting for emerging artists. The venue played a pivotal role in establishing Oslo as a significant stop on European tour routes and continues to be vital to Norway's contemporary music culture. It's consistently ranked among Oslo's best live music venues.
