Originally built in 1938 as a dance hall – the Palais de Danse – it quickly became *the* social hub for Nuneaton and surrounding areas. During WWII, it served as a vital community space and hosted forces’ dances. Post-war, it continued as a popular dance venue before evolving into a dedicated live music space in the 1970s, undergoing several name changes (Civic Hall, Nuneaton Arts Centre) before settling as Queens Hall.

Architecturally, it retains elements of its Art Deco origins alongside modern updates. The venue regularly hosts a diverse range of acts, with a strong focus on tribute bands, rock, indie, and 80s nights – catering to a broad audience. It's particularly known for its lively atmosphere and relatively intimate setting compared to larger arenas.
