L'Arrache-cœur, located in Avignon, France, is a renowned live music venue housed within a former 18th-century chapel dedicated to the Blue Penitents brotherhood. Consecrated in 1762, the building’s striking Baroque architecture – notably its ornate façade and vaulted ceiling – provides a unique acoustic and visual experience. Transformed into a concert hall in 1983, it quickly became central to Avignon’s alternative music scene, particularly during the annual Avignon Theatre Festival, hosting hundreds of performances alongside the theatrical events.
