Experience Kongresové Centrum Praha
Kongresové Centrum Praha (KCP), opened in 1981 as the Palace of Culture, is Prague’s largest convention and cultural centre. Situated in New Town, its Brutalist architecture, while initially controversial, now represents a significant example of late 20th-century Czech design. The building underwent extensive modernization between 2019-2021, enhancing its technological capabilities and accessibility.
KCP boasts multiple spaces, most notably the Mastercard Forum – a versatile hall accommodating up to 2,221 people – and several smaller halls suitable for conferences, concerts and performances. It frequently hosts large-scale international congresses but is also a prominent music venue.
While hosting diverse events, KCP is particularly well-suited for orchestral performances, pop & rock concerts (often featuring internationally renowned artists), and large theatrical productions. It's been a key venue for the Prague Spring International Music Festival on occasion. Unique features include advanced acoustics within the main hall and direct access to Vyšehrad metro station. Its sheer capacity distinguishes it from many other Prague venues, making it ideal for major touring acts and grand events requiring substantial space and technical infrastructure.
