Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 512 West 42nd Street in Manhattan, New York City, was designed by architect Hubert C. Ihlenfeldt and constructed between 1905 and 1906. The building is a prominent example of Gothic Revival architecture, featuring a limestone facade and a significant pipe organ originally built by the Pilcher Organ Company in 1903 and subsequently rebuilt and expanded by various firms including Schantz Organ Company and Lively-Fulcher Organ Builders.

Initially serving a German-speaking congregation, the church adapted to changing demographics over the 20th century. In recent decades, it has become renowned as a performance space for classical music, particularly choral works and organ recitals. The church frequently hosts the New York City Master Chorale and has been a venue for performances by numerous professional ensembles.

Its acoustics are highly regarded within the city’s musical community. The sanctuary’s large volume and stone construction contribute to a natural reverberation favored by musicians. Beyond musical events, Holy Trinity continues to function as an active Lutheran church offering regular services and community programs.
