Experience Dehesa de Navalcarbón
Dehesa de Navalcarbón, located in Las Rozas de Madrid, is a unique open-air concert venue built within the grounds of a beautifully restored 17th-century agricultural estate. Originally a *dehesa* – a traditional Iberian pastureland managed for cork oak and livestock – the space was repurposed for cultural events in the late 1990s, becoming a significant fixture in the Madrid music scene.
Its architecture blends rustic charm with modern stage technology, offering excellent acoustics within a natural amphitheater setting. The venue regularly hosts large-scale concerts spanning genres like indie rock, pop, flamenco fusion, and electronic music; it’s known for attracting both established international acts and rising Spanish artists.
Unlike many enclosed arenas, Navalcarbón offers an outdoor experience under the Madrid sky. It's distinguished by its capacity (around 8,000 people) combined with its historical context and relaxed atmosphere. Notably, it hosted the Mad Cool Spring Sessions in 2018 & 2019 before the festival moved to its current location. Accessibility via public transport is good, and on-site facilities include food & beverage stalls and ample parking.
