The Church of St. Luke in the Fields, located in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, was originally constructed in 1837 as a parish church within the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Designed by Richard Upjohn, the building underwent significant renovation and expansion in 1860-1861 under the direction of architect William W. Potter, resulting in its current Gothic Revival structure featuring brownstone facades and a prominent corner tower.
