The origins of French jazz can be traced back to the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. Alongside his close collaborator, violinist Stéphane Grappelli, Reinhardt formed the Quintette du Hot Club de France in 1934. Another significant artist associated with French jazz is Richard Galliano. Known for his mastery of the accordion, Galliano has expanded the possibilities of this instrument within the genre. His album "New Musette" blends traditional musette music with jazz, creating a unique and captivating sound that has gained international recognition.
