The Zurich Chamber Orchestra (ZKO) will perform at ZKO-Haus, Zurich, Switzerland on April 25, 2027. The orchestra is internationally recognized for its historically informed performance practice, particularly within the Baroque and Classical repertoire, though its programming extends to encompass 20th and 21st-century compositions. A defining characteristic is its conductorless structure; musicians collaborate and make artistic decisions collectively, fostering a uniquely democratic and flexible approach to music-making. Founded in 1948, the ZKO has a long tradition of working with prominent soloists and exploring diverse musical styles.

ZKO-Haus, completed in 2014, serves as the dedicated concert hall for the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Designed by architect Marcus Liveck, it replaced the orchestra’s previous venue and was specifically conceived to optimize acoustics for chamber music. The building incorporates a shoebox-shaped hall constructed primarily from wood, aiming for a warm and resonant sound quality. It's located in the Zurich West district, an area undergoing significant urban development and known for its industrial heritage. Beyond concert performances, ZKO-Haus also hosts educational programs and serves as a rehearsal space for the orchestra.
