Caramoor Center began as the summer residence of Lucie and Henry Brush in the 1930s. Initially focused on chamber music, Caramoor gradually expanded its programming to include opera, orchestral concerts, jazz, and other artistic disciplines. The grounds feature a Venetian Theater specifically designed for opera and musical theater performances, alongside more intimate spaces within the historic house and gardens.
