Yannick Nézet-Séguin will perform at Big Top in Saint-Sauveur, Quebec on July 28, 2026. Nézet-Séguin is a highly acclaimed conductor known for his emotionally expressive interpretations and technical precision across a broad repertoire. While frequently associated with Romantic and early 20th-century works – particularly those of Mahler, Shostakovich, and Tchaikovsky – he also champions contemporary composers and opera. His conducting style is characterized by a clear focus on orchestral colour and dramatic narrative. He currently serves as Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera in New York and Chief Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, amongst other prominent positions.

Big Top is an outdoor concert venue located in the Laurentian Mountains near Saint-Sauveur, Quebec. Established in 1998, it’s recognized for its unique atmosphere created by performing under a large circus-style tent – hence the name “Big Top”. The venue regularly hosts internationally renowned artists spanning various musical genres including classical, jazz, and popular music. Its design provides excellent acoustics while offering an intimate experience despite its capacity of approximately 700 attendees.
