The Virginia Theatre in Somerset, Pennsylvania originally opened as a single-screen movie house in 1926. After years of operation as a cinema, it faced closure in the 1980s. A dedicated community effort led to its restoration and reopening in 2003 as a non-profit performing arts center. The venue now hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical productions, film screenings and community gatherings.

The theatre’s architecture reflects its early 20th-century origins with Art Deco detailing. It has a seating capacity of approximately 450 people and is recognized for its intimate atmosphere conducive to live performances.
