WITCH, a Zambian rock band formed in the early 1970s, will be performing at Starland Yard in Savannah, Georgia on September 18, 2026. The band’s music is often described as “Zam-rock,” a unique blend of psychedelic rock, funk, and traditional Zambian musical elements. Originally active throughout the 1970s and achieving significant regional popularity, WITCH (We Intend To Change Things Here) experienced a resurgence in the 21st century with renewed international recognition following reissues of their recordings and extensive touring.

Starland Yard is an outdoor venue located in Savannah’s Starland District. Established in 2018, it functions as a rotating hub for food trucks, live music performances, and community events. The space is characterized by its industrial aesthetic – utilizing shipping containers repurposed into vendor stalls and a central performance area – and aims to foster a vibrant social atmosphere. It frequently hosts national and regional musical acts across various genres.
