WITCH, the Zambian rock band originally active in the 1970s and recently revived, is scheduled to perform at Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace in Pioneertown, California on August 22, 2026. The band’s music blends elements of psychedelic rock, funk, and traditional Zambian sounds, often incorporating guitar-driven melodies and distinctive vocal harmonies. Initially formed in Lusaka as a collective of musicians from different bands, WITCH – which stands for We Intend To Create Havoc – gained regional popularity before largely disbanding in the late 1980s. They experienced a resurgence in interest in the 2010s, leading to re-releases of their music and renewed international touring.

Pappy & Harriet’s is a historic venue located in the unique desert community of Pioneertown, founded by Western movie actor Roy Rogers and others seeking to create a living movie set. Originally established as a honky-tonk and diner in 1972 by Pappy Allen and Harriet Fritz, it has become known for its intimate setting and eclectic musical bookings.
