Whitney, the Chicago-based musical project spearheaded by Julian Ehrlich, will perform at The Concert Hall in Toronto, Canada on September 23, 2026. The band’s sound is often described as a blend of indie rock, jazz, and pop, characterized by Ehrlich’s falsetto vocals, intricate instrumentation featuring horns and piano, and emotionally resonant songwriting. Initially formed from the remnants of the band SmithWesterns, Whitney released their critically acclaimed debut album *Light Upon the Lake* in 2016, establishing their signature melancholic yet hopeful aesthetic. They have since released further albums including *Forever Turned Down* (2019) and *Spark* (2021), continuing to refine their distinctive musical style.

The Concert Hall is a relatively new venue in Toronto's west end, opening in 2023. Located in the Dufferin Mall, it was conceived as a dedicated listening room prioritizing acoustic quality and an intimate concert experience. Designed by renowned acoustician Bob Vacari, the venue focuses on providing optimal sound for both performers and audiences with a capacity of approximately 550 people.
