The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) will perform a concert at Fremantle Town Hall on September 19, 2026. Fremantle Town Hall is a significant heritage building located in the heart of Fremantle, Western Australia. Completed in 1887, it is constructed in the Victorian Free Classical style and features an imposing facade with a clock tower. Originally designed to serve as a municipal administrative centre and public gathering space, it has hosted numerous significant events throughout its history including political rallies, concerts, and civic ceremonies. The hall’s auditorium possesses notable acoustic qualities which have made it a favoured venue for musical performances. It underwent substantial restoration work in the late 20th and early 21st centuries to preserve its architectural integrity and enhance its functionality as a performance space. The building is listed on both the State Heritage Register and the National Heritage List of Australia.
