Vision String Quartet will perform at Halle 400 in Kiel, Germany on July 12, 2026. The quartet is recognized for its distinctive blend of contemporary classical music with elements of jazz improvisation and influences from diverse musical traditions, including Eastern European folk music and minimalism. Their compositions often feature complex rhythmic structures and harmonic explorations, delivered with a highly refined and expressive performance style. The group formed in 2002 while students at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and has since established an international reputation through extensive touring and numerous recordings.

Halle 400 is a former shipyard hall situated in the Kiel city harbor. Originally constructed as part of the Germaniawerft shipyard, it served as a construction hall for submarines during the Cold War. Following the shipyard’s closure in 1988, the building fell into disuse before being repurposed as a cultural venue in the early 2000s. Today, Halle 400 hosts a variety of events including concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and club nights; it's known for its raw industrial aesthetic and large capacity making it a significant location within Kiel’s cultural landscape.
