The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert venue located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the complex features two main halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, seating approximately 2,400 people and renowned for its exceptional acoustics; and the smaller Salle de Debussy. The Philharmonie de Paris is part of a larger park system – Parc de la Villette – originally created for the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989. It serves as the home base for the Orchestre de Paris and hosts a diverse range of musical performances encompassing classical, contemporary, and world music.
