Experience Víkingur Ólafsson live on September 3rd

Víkingur Ólafsson is a contemporary Icelandic pianist recognized for his distinctive interpretations of classical and modern repertoire, often characterized by clarity, precision, and a subtle emotional depth. His recordings have garnered significant critical acclaim and awards, establishing him as a leading figure in classical music performance.

The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert venue located in the Parc de la Villette, 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the complex comprises two main halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, known for its adjustable acoustics and seating capacity of approximately 2,400; and the smaller Studio Erma Metzler. The Philharmonie de Paris represents France’s first purpose-built concert hall designed specifically for acoustic excellence and is home to the Orchestre de Paris and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra. It aims to be a national center for musical creation and education, offering a diverse program encompassing classical music, contemporary works, jazz, and world music.
