Victor Wooten is scheduled to perform at the Fox Tucson Theatre on December 15, 2026. Wooten is a highly acclaimed American bassist, composer, and recording artist known for his innovative and virtuosic playing style. The Fox Tucson Theatre originally opened in 1930 as a cinema house showcasing both films and live vaudeville acts. Designed in a lavish Art Deco style by architect Lescher & Mahoney, it quickly became a central entertainment venue for the Tucson community. Following a period of decline in the late 20th century, the theatre underwent extensive restoration completed in 2005. The restored venue now hosts a variety of performances including concerts, theatrical productions, comedy shows, and classic film screenings. It is recognized for its excellent acoustics and well-preserved architectural details; it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
