Experience Venezia Festival Orchestra live on August 18th

The Venezia Festival Orchestra is scheduled to perform at Serenadenhof in Nuremberg, Germany on August 18, 2026. This ensemble specializes in historically informed performance practice of Italian Baroque and early Classical repertoire, focusing particularly on works from Venetian composers like Vivaldi, Albinoni, and Marcello. Their performances are characterized by vibrant energy, stylistic authenticity achieved through the use of period instruments, and a commitment to rediscovering lesser-known works alongside established masterpieces.

Serenadenhof is an open-air venue located within the grounds of the former imperial stables (Kaiserstallung) in Nuremberg. Originally constructed in the 1950s as a summer stage for operettas and light operas – hence its name referencing serenades – it has since become a popular location for a diverse range of classical music concerts. The space offers an intimate setting with a capacity around 700-800 people, known for its good acoustics and picturesque surroundings within the historic city center. It underwent renovations in the late 2010s to improve accessibility and audience comfort while preserving its original character. The venue is managed by the Stadt Nürnberg (City of Nuremberg) cultural department.
