UpTempo is scheduled to perform at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia on April 22, 2027. The ensemble specializes in a dynamic blend of jazz and classical music, frequently incorporating elements of funk and contemporary improvisation into their arrangements. Their performances are characterized by virtuosic instrumental work and a focus on energetic, rhythmically complex compositions. UpTempo has been performing nationally since its founding in 2008, gaining recognition for innovative interpretations of both established repertoire and original works.

The Woodruff Arts Center serves as the home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Opera, and the Alliance Theatre. Opened in 1968, it’s a significant cultural landmark in the city, designed by Pietro Bellushchi and Benjamin Thompson. The complex underwent substantial renovations and expansions completed in 2018, enhancing its capabilities as a multi-disciplinary arts venue. It aims to provide access to a diverse range of artistic experiences for the Atlanta community and beyond. The center’s architecture incorporates multiple performance spaces including the Robert W.
