UpTempo is a vocal ensemble specializing in a cappella arrangements of contemporary pop, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop music. The group is known for its dynamic performances featuring intricate vocal harmonies, beatboxing, and choreography, often re-imagining popular songs in a fresh and innovative style. They frequently tour and have garnered recognition for their energetic stage presence and vocal precision.

The Woodruff Arts Center serves as Atlanta’s leading arts hub, encompassing the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art, and National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Originally constructed in 1968 as the Memorial Arts Center in memory of Robert W. Woodruff – former president of The Coca-Cola Company and a significant philanthropist – it was later renamed to honor his extensive contributions to the city’s cultural landscape.

The complex underwent substantial renovations and expansions completed in 2008, enhancing its facilities to support diverse artistic disciplines. It functions as a multi-disciplinary venue hosting a wide range of performances and exhibitions throughout the year. The center aims to foster community engagement through arts education programs alongside presenting professional artistic offerings.
