Rock Concerts in Manchester

Experience TTSSFU live on October 3rd

TTSSFU, an acronym for The Tiny Sounds of Spaceships & Fuzzy Universe, is a musical project primarily categorized as experimental electronic music. Their sound blends elements of ambient, IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), and glitch, often incorporating field recordings and unconventional sound design. The project, spearheaded by artist Alex Menzies, has released several albums on independent labels known for forward-thinking electronic compositions, gaining a dedicated following within niche electronic music communities.

New Century Hall in Manchester opened in 2023 following a significant restoration of the historic former Odeon cinema. Originally built in 1936 as a super cinema showcasing both films and stage performances, the building underwent decades of varied use including as a bingo hall before falling into disrepair. The recent £23 million renovation, led by architects Purcell, aimed to restore many of its original Art Deco features while transforming it into a flexible performance space.

The hall now functions as a 800-capacity venue hosting a diverse range of events including concerts, conferences and community activities. It’s designed with adaptable acoustics to accommodate different types of performances and is intended to be a significant cultural asset for the city.
