Troy Andrews, known professionally as Trombone Shorty, is scheduled to perform at The Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene, Oregon on August 20, 2026. Andrews is a contemporary jazz and funk musician from New Orleans, Louisiana. His musical style blends elements of New Orleans jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop and R&B, prominently featuring his trombone playing alongside trumpet and vocals. He gained recognition as a young prodigy in the New Orleans brass band scene and has since released several critically acclaimed albums and toured extensively.
The Cuthbert Amphitheater is an outdoor venue located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Eugene’s Alton Baker Park. Originally constructed in 1968 as a shell for performances during the International Special Olympics Oregon Games, it underwent significant renovations and reopened in 2018 following a community fundraising effort. The amphitheater has a capacity of approximately 1,500 people and hosts a variety of musical acts and community events throughout the year. Its design incorporates natural landscaping and aims to provide an intimate concert experience while maintaining accessibility. The venue is owned and operated by the City of Eugene Parks and Recreation Department.
