Andrews is a contemporary jazz and funk musician originating from New Orleans, Louisiana. His music blends elements of traditional New Orleans brass band sounds with funk, rock, hip-hop, and soul influences. He is proficient on both the trombone and trumpet, often incorporating both instruments into his energetic performances. Andrews began performing professionally at a young age, touring with his brother James Andrews’ band and later leading his own ensemble, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.
Marymoor Park is a King County Parks facility located in Redmond. Established in 1977 on the site of a former dairy farm owned by the Marymoor family, it spans over 640 acres. The park is known for its diverse recreational offerings including walking and biking trails, a velodrome used for track cycling, off-leash dog areas, and a concert venue – the Marymoor Park Amphitheater – where this performance will take place. The amphitheater utilizes the natural slope of the land to create an outdoor viewing space and has hosted numerous national musical acts over the years.
