Massive Attack founder Robert Del Naja, known professionally as Tricky, is scheduled to perform at The Loft in Atlanta, Georgia on October 15, 2026. Tricky’s musical style is generally categorized as trip-hop, though it incorporates elements of alternative rock, dub, and electronica. Characterized by its dark, atmospheric soundscapes, often featuring layered samples, unconventional drum patterns and his distinctive rapping/spoken word delivery, his work emerged prominently in the early 1990s with the album *Maxinquaye*. He consistently explores themes of paranoia, vulnerability and urban life throughout his discography.

The Loft is a longstanding music venue located in East Atlanta Village. Originally opening in 1986, it has become a significant space for alternative and independent music performances. The venue is known for its intimate setting and relatively small capacity – approximately 400 people – fostering close interaction between artists and audiences. Throughout its history, The Loft has hosted a diverse range of acts spanning genres like punk rock, indie rock, hip-hop and electronic music; becoming a key component of Atlanta’s local music scene. It underwent renovations in 2018 but maintains its original character.
