Tricky will be performing at The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Canada on October 8, 2026. Tricky, born Adrian Thaws, is a British musician and producer credited as a pioneer of trip-hop music. His style blends elements of hip-hop, dub, electronica, and experimental rock, often characterized by dark, atmospheric soundscapes, layered textures, and his distinctive vocal delivery – frequently whispered or fragmented. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s with the album *Maxinquaye* (1995), which remains highly influential. Throughout his career, Tricky has consistently explored challenging and innovative sonic territories.

The Danforth Music Hall is a historic concert venue located in Toronto’s east end. Originally built in 1919 as a vaudeville theatre named The Allen Theatre, it underwent several name changes before becoming The Danforth Music Hall in 2008 following extensive renovations. The venue retains much of its original architectural detail including ornate plasterwork and a balcony seating area.
