Tricky is scheduled to perform at Clifton Down, Bristol on August 29th, 2026. Emerging in the early 1990s, Tricky gained prominence with his debut album *Maxinquaye* (1995), characterized by dark, atmospheric production and layered vocals. Throughout his career, he’s consistently explored themes of identity, paranoia and inner turmoil within a uniquely textured sonic landscape.

Clifton Down is a large area of open grassland in Bristol, England. Historically a common used for grazing and fairs dating back to medieval times, it remains largely undeveloped. The Down is managed by the City of Bristol Council and forms part of the wider Clifton Downs and Sea Mills landscape – designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its unique limestone grassland habitat and associated flora and fauna. It has been a venue for various public events over the years including the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta and travelling fairs; however large-scale musical performances are less frequent. The location offers expansive views across the city and towards South Wales.
