Traditional is a vocal ensemble specializing in the performance of polyphonic choral music from the British Isles, particularly focusing on arrangements of folk songs and carols in a classical style. Their repertoire draws heavily from the traditions of Cornwall, Wales, and Ireland, often featuring close harmonies and unaccompanied singing. The group has gained recognition for its interpretations of lesser-known works alongside familiar melodies, aiming to preserve and celebrate regional musical heritage.

St Peter’s Church, Bournemouth, is a Victorian Anglican church completed in 1879. Designed by architect George Edmund Street, it is noted for its High Victorian Gothic Revival style and elaborate internal decoration. The church features significant Pre-Raphaelite artwork including mosaics and stained glass windows designed by prominent artists of the era, such as Nathaniel Westlake. It is constructed of Purbeck stone and Portland stone, with a prominent tower reaching 136 feet. The building serves as a parish church within the Diocese of Salisbury and is recognised for its acoustics which make it a suitable venue for musical performances. It underwent substantial restoration work in the early 2000s to address structural issues and preserve its historical features.
