Tlalok is scheduled to perform at Zocalo Food Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 8, 2026. The musical project, led by Lorenzo Cordain, blends traditional Mexican son jarocho with elements of jazz, improvisation, and contemporary sounds. Instrumentation typically includes the *jarana jarocha* (a small eight-string guitar), *requinto jarocho* (a four-string guitar), harp, percussion, and vocals, often featuring call-and-response structures characteristic of son jarocho. Tlalok’s performances are known for their energetic rhythms and focus on preserving and evolving the cultural heritage of Veracruz, Mexico.

Zocalo Food Park opened in 2018 and operates as a year-round outdoor venue dedicated to showcasing Milwaukee’s diverse culinary scene alongside live music and community events. Located in the city’s Walker’s Point neighborhood, it features a rotating selection of food trucks and vendors offering a variety of cuisines. The park is designed with a central stage area capable of hosting musical performances and utilizes repurposed shipping containers for vendor spaces. It aims to provide a family-friendly environment with communal seating and a focus on local businesses.
