Tlalok is scheduled to perform at Washington Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 12, 2026. The musical group blends traditional Mexican instrumentation – frequently featuring the *jarana*, *requinto*, and percussion – with contemporary sounds, often categorized as Son Jarocho-influenced alternative. Their performances incorporate elements of improvisation and storytelling, drawing heavily from the folkloric traditions of Veracruz, Mexico.

Washington Park, established in 1891, is a 137-acre park located in Milwaukee’s near west side. Designed by landscape architect Alfred Charles Koch, it represents a significant example of late 19th-century park design principles emphasizing naturalistic landscapes and recreational spaces. Originally intended as a grand pleasure ground for Milwaukee’s residents, the park features expansive lawns, mature trees, a lagoon, and historical structures including the Washington Park Pavilion (built 1909) and the Veterans Memorial Bandshell. Throughout its history, Washington Park has hosted numerous public events including concerts, festivals, and political rallies; it remains a prominent community gathering space maintained by the Milwaukee County Parks system.
