Tingvall Trio will perform at the Kupfersaal in Leipzig, Germany on October 12, 2028. The Kupfersaal is a historically significant concert hall located within the grounds of the University of Leipzig’s Augustusplatz campus. Originally constructed in 1906-1907 as a ballroom for the Hotel Deutscher Hof, it underwent extensive renovation following damage during World War II. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics stemming from its copper-domed ceiling – hence the name “Kupfersaal” (Copper Hall) – and intimate setting. It now serves as a primary venue for chamber music performances, lectures, and other cultural events hosted by the university and external organizations.
