Experience Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra live on March 6th

The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on March 6, 2027. The orchestra is a professional ensemble primarily focused on orchestral repertoire spanning classical, romantic, and contemporary periods. While maintaining a core of standard orchestral works, the TSO frequently incorporates Canadian composers and explores diverse musical styles to engage a broad audience. The orchestra also undertakes educational outreach programs within the community.

The Thunder Bay Community Auditorium opened in 1949, originally named the Thunder Bay Arena and Auditorium. It underwent significant renovations and expansions in the early 2000s, modernizing its facilities while preserving its historical architectural elements. The auditorium serves as a multi-purpose venue hosting a variety of events including concerts, theatrical productions, sporting events and conventions. It is a key cultural hub for Northwestern Ontario and is known for its acoustics and capacity to accommodate large-scale performances. The building features approximately 1,500 seats in its main theatre space and has hosted numerous nationally and internationally recognized artists throughout its history. It remains an important landmark within the city of Thunder Bay.
