The Paramount Theater opened in 1931 as a movie palace during the height of the Art Deco era. Designed by Lawrence B. Lee, it originally seated over 1,000 patrons and showcased both films and vaudeville acts. After facing decline in the latter half of the 20th century, it underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 1994. The venue now functions as a performing arts center hosting a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical performances, film screenings and community gatherings. It is recognized for its well-preserved architectural details and intimate atmosphere within a historic setting.
