The NorVa is a prominent live music venue located in the historic Ghent district of Norfolk. Originally constructed in 1926 as a movie palace named the Attucks Theatre – a significant cultural landmark for the African American community during segregation – it underwent extensive renovations in 1998 and reopened as The NorVa. The venue retains much of its original Art Deco architecture and boasts a capacity of approximately 1,400 standing or 850 seated.
