Salle Gaveau is a historic concert hall located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Opened in 1901, it was initially constructed as a private mansion for the banker Édouard Alphonse James de Rothschild. Designed by the architect Jacques Marcelot, the hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and intimate setting – seating approximately 750 people. It quickly became a favored venue for chamber music and recitals, hosting prominent musicians of the early 20th century including Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky.
