The Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck (MuK) opened in 2002 and serves as a significant cultural venue in northern Germany. Designed by architects Sauerbruch Hutton, the building is notable for its distinctive red brick façade and its integration of modern architectural elements with the historical context of Lübeck's city center. It houses two primary performance spaces: the Großes Haus (Great Hall), accommodating approximately 1,900 attendees and a smaller hall suitable for chamber music and other events. The MuK regularly hosts orchestral concerts, opera productions, congresses and various other cultural presentations.
