Experience The King's Singers live on November 6th
The King’s Singers, a British vocal ensemble founded in 1968 at King’s College, Cambridge, will perform at Essen Minster (Dom) on November 6th, 2026. The group is renowned for its a cappella arrangements and performances spanning numerous genres, including Renaissance polyphony, jazz standards, and popular contemporary music. Their repertoire frequently features commissioned works alongside established choral pieces, demonstrating a commitment to both tradition and innovation in vocal music. The ensemble consists of countertenor, tenor, two baritones, and bass voices.
Essen Minster, often referred to simply as the Dom, is a prominent landmark in Essen and one of Germany's most important late Gothic churches. Originally built between 1275 and 1300 as a collegiate church dedicated to Saint Mary and Saint Dimpna, it acquired cathedral status in 1958. The Dom holds significant historical importance as the burial place of the medieval Empress Agnes of Waiblingen and several bishops of Essen.
