Experience The Glenn Miller Orchestra live on December 20th

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is scheduled to perform at Bass Concert Hall in Austin, Texas on December 20, 2026. The ensemble is renowned for its performance of classic American swing music popularized during the 1930s and 1940s. Originally led by Glenn Miller, the orchestra achieved widespread fame with a distinctive sound characterized by a rich brass section and intricate arrangements featuring clarinet leads and vocal harmonies. Following Miller’s disappearance in 1944, the orchestra was reconstituted and continues to tour internationally, preserving his musical legacy.

Bass Concert Hall opened in 1988 and is the largest venue on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it primarily hosts Broadway touring productions, concerts of various genres – including classical, pop, and jazz – and other large-scale performing arts events. The hall's acoustics are considered a key feature, designed to accommodate both amplified and unamplified performances. It has a seating capacity of approximately 2,435 people and is known for its horseshoe-shaped design which provides good sightlines from most seats. The venue is managed by Texas Performing Arts.
