Salzlager Hall, originally constructed in the early 20th century, served as a salt storage facility – “Salzlager” directly translating to “salt storage” – reflecting the region’s historical salt mining industry. Later repurposed, it underwent significant renovations in the late 1990s to transform it into a multi-purpose cultural venue. The hall is known for its unique acoustics stemming from its original industrial architecture and high ceilings. It now hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical performances and exhibitions. The building retains many of its original structural features, offering a distinctive atmosphere for performances. Its capacity is approximately 800 seated attendees.
