The Cat Empire will perform at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, Australia on September 13, 2026. The Cat Empire are an Australian band known for blending jazz, ska, funk, folk, and Latin rhythms into a vibrant and energetic sound. Formed in Melbourne in 1996, they’ve built a reputation for dynamic live performances and a diverse instrumental palette featuring trumpet, trombone, percussion and guitars alongside traditional rock instrumentation.

The Fortitude Music Hall opened in 2019 as Brisbane’s largest free-standing indoor concert venue. Located in the Fortitude Valley entertainment precinct, it was designed specifically with acoustics in mind and features a flexible standing/seated capacity of approximately 3,300 people. The venue aims to attract both national and international artists across various genres. It's construction involved the restoration of a historic warehouse building, retaining elements of its original industrial character while incorporating modern facilities. The hall is owned by Livewire Group and operated by ASM Global. It quickly established itself as a key component of Brisbane’s live music scene following its opening.
