The Avalanches will perform at Ogr - Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin, Italy on October 29, 2026. The Avalanches are an Australian electronic music group known for their sample-based music, pioneering a style often categorized as plunderphonica. Their work frequently incorporates diverse musical genres – including hip hop, electronica, baroque pop and psychedelic rock – woven together through extensive sampling and collage techniques. They initially gained international recognition with their 2000 album *Since I Left You*.

Ogr - Officine Grandi Riparazioni is a multi-purpose cultural center housed within a former railway workshop complex. Originally built between 1885 and 1890 as part of the Turin–Cuneo railway line, the “Grandi Riparazioni” (Great Repairs) workshops were crucial for maintaining and repairing locomotives. Following a period of disuse after railway operations ceased, the space underwent significant renovation and reopened in 2017 as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances and other cultural events. The building retains many original industrial architectural features, contributing to its distinctive atmosphere. It is managed by Fondazione Torino Metropolitana.
