Flagey - Studio 1 is a renowned concert hall located within the Flagey cultural centre in Ixelles, Brussels. Originally constructed as a Maison de la Radio – the broadcasting house for Belgian National Radio – in the 1930s, the building exemplifies modernist architecture. Studio 1 itself is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics, stemming from its original design intended for high-quality radio broadcasts. Following renovations in the early 2000s, Flagey reopened as a multi-disciplinary arts centre, with Studio 1 becoming a key venue for diverse musical performances, including jazz, classical, and contemporary genres. The space maintains much of its original aesthetic and technical infrastructure contributing to its unique atmosphere. It regularly hosts both established and emerging artists.
