Swing from Paris presents a vibrant celebration of classic Parisian jazz and swing music, drawing inspiration from the 1930s and 40s ‘hot club’ sound pioneered by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. The ensemble typically features virtuoso musicians performing instrumental pieces alongside French vocal standards, characterised by driving rhythms, intricate guitar work, and a generally upbeat and energetic performance style. Their repertoire often includes original compositions alongside well-known tunes reimagined with their distinctive flair.

The Mill, Banbury is a restored Victorian watermill situated on the River Cherwell. Originally functioning as a working mill for over 150 years, it ceased commercial milling in 1962. Subsequently, it underwent significant renovation to transform into a dedicated arts venue. Opened as The Mill Arts Centre in 1998, the building now hosts a diverse programme of events including music concerts, theatre productions, film screenings, and workshops. It is known for its intimate atmosphere and unique setting, retaining many of its original industrial features while providing modern facilities for performers and audiences. The venue’s main performance space is within the former milling machinery hall offering distinct acoustics.
