Swing from Paris presents a vibrant and energetic performance rooted in the classic jazz manouche tradition, popularized by Django Reinhardt. The ensemble delivers a distinctly French take on swing music, incorporating elements of jazz standards, original compositions, and often featuring virtuosic guitar work alongside violin, bass, and typically a rhythm guitar. Their performances are known for their lively tempos and improvisational skill.

The Beacon, located in Wantage, Oxfordshire, is a modern arts centre housed within a converted chapel. Opened in 2016 following extensive renovations, it serves as a key cultural hub for the Vale of White Horse district. The building retains many of its original architectural features while providing a flexible performance space suitable for a variety of events including theatre, music concerts, film screenings and community activities. It is operated by Vale of White Horse District Council and aims to provide accessible arts experiences for local residents and visitors. The venue has a capacity of approximately 200 seated or 350 standing. It frequently hosts both established and emerging artists across diverse genres.
