Fermaten is a well-known music venue located in Herning, Denmark. Originally established in 1994 as part of the Herning Cultural Centre, it quickly became a significant hub for both established and emerging artists, particularly within rock, metal, and alternative genres. The venue’s name translates to “The Station” and reflects its initial design intention – a stopping point for travelling musicians. Fermaten is known for its intimate setting and strong acoustics, fostering close interaction between performers and audiences. It has hosted numerous internationally recognized acts over the years alongside showcasing Danish talent. The venue underwent renovations in 2016 to improve facilities while retaining its core character. It continues to operate as a key component of the Danish music scene.
