Experience Storm Large live on December 31st
Storm Large is scheduled to perform at the Taper Auditorium in Seattle, Washington on December 31, 2026. Large is a vocalist and musician known for a powerfully emotive and genre-bending style. Her work incorporates elements of rock, cabaret, blues, and pop, often featuring dramatic arrangements and theatrical presentation. She gained national recognition as a finalist on *Rock Star: Supernova* in 2006 and has since led her own band, The Storm Large Combo, alongside numerous collaborations with symphony orchestras nationally.
The Taper Auditorium resides within the McCaw Hall complex, home to the Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Originally constructed in 1929 as the Scottish Rite Cathedral, the building underwent significant renovations completed in 1998 to create McCaw Hall. The Taper Auditorium specifically retains much of the original cathedral’s architectural detail including ornate stonework and stained glass windows. It functions as a versatile performance space hosting a variety of events beyond opera and ballet; including concerts, lectures, and community gatherings. Its acoustics are considered particularly well-suited for vocal performances due to its design heritage. The auditorium has a seating capacity of approximately 600.
